im not sure you can say its worse than the cold war, i would say its
probably all VERY relative.  back in the cold war days, they didnt
have access to the plethora of visually disturbing and readily
available images of death, destruction and other horrific images of
terror that we have today.  nowadays its a constant onslaught of media
coverage and other oulets of the grotesque.  im not trying to one up
another generations woes, but i can say this... i dont feel the same
post 9/11 as i did pre 9/11.

funny story... just the other day... we were going through our boxes
from our move 2 years ago, and found the grocery list that was on our
refridgerator...  the last entry was week of 9/11/2001, with plans for
monday/tuesday etc... dinners and stuff...  never touched it again,
and it truly was a VERY solemn reminder of how EVERYTHING has
changed...
