Donnie Darko - Still not sure if it's a great movie that I'm still
struggling to understand, or if I do get it and it was just a bad
movie.

12 Monkeys - I could watch this every day for the rest of my life. I
LOVED the spin on the time traveller routine (which is the 'real'
reality? am I a time traveller from the future, or am I a psychopath
from the present?)

Matrix the first - Great movie. Sorry Jim, but I thought the other two blew.

Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back - the first, because it's the
original. Empire was on its own merit a great movie. "Return" pretty
much blew (a re-hash of the 1st one with those marketable little
Ewoks)...and I won't even discuss the most recent two (ptooey).

Parenthood - Totally different genre than most that seem to have been
discussed, but a fantastic movie that everybody can relate to.

Fight Club - Like 12 Monkeys, I can watch every day and catch
something that I didn't catch any of my 1000 previous viewing.
Amazing movie that was marketed and promoted poorly.

The Replacements - I love this movie. Don't know why...it's just yet
another rehash of the "Bad News Bears" formula...but I love it. The
writers apparently know nothing about the rules of football...but with
a healthy suspension of disbelief (ie. just turn off your brain, sit
back and enjoy), it's a very enjoyable movie.

Memento - Another one that I need to see a few more times before I can
really reach a verdict myself...but deserves mention for at least
being one of the few truly original movies of the past few years.

Hero - Blows Crouching Tiger out of the water.
