For me, add 'Unbreakable' to that category.

Saw it in the theater, hated it.  Absolutely hated it.

When the DVD first came out, there was a lot of discussion regarding
it on alt.video.dvd (which I was subscribed to at the time).  Aroused
my curiosity enough that i wanted to give it another shot, so i bought
the dvd.

Now it's probably in my top 10.  One of those that every time I see
it, I catch something that I didn't catch before.  Also, looking at it
as the "first part" of a trilogy (which is how some people on
alt.video.dvd put it), or just the "origin" part of a larger
story...but not the entire story...that really put it into a whole new
light for me.
