I'd rather live close in and have something smaller than live farther out and sit in traffic. Unless I could get a job farther out. I hate traffic (obviously!) and I hate sitting in the car wasting gas and polluting the environment. I don't understand these people who move out 50, 60, or more miles away and then spend 4 or 5 hours a day commuting. I have other things I want to do; like sleep, watch tv, bug the cats....

One of the reasons we decided on Manassas rather than closer in, like Falls Church or Fairfax etc, was housing prices. For what we have here on the edge of redneck land, we'd easily have to pay at least twice to three times as much in Fairfax or Arlington. Besides where else can you live where if you're not careful you stumble over Civil War reenactors most weekends. larry -- Larry C.
