That's been my point all along - all of these things: global warming,
pollution, habitat devastation, etc. - even nuclear war - vastly affect us
more than "life on Earth" (although all of them will definitely cause the
extinction of numerous species).

Even nuclear war, as it's planned to be waged, would not cause the
sterilization of the planet (and definitely not the destruction of the
planet).

In general it's always our asses on the line.  This is why the idea that
many of these issues have become "business against nature" is just
ridiculous and distracting.

Dealing with these problems is a business issue, pure and simple - there's
an ROI involved that requires more foresight that the current quarter, of
course, but it's there.  And it's defensible as a business need.
