Is that the amphitheatre thats right on the river at the small boat ramp? ---------------------------------------- From: "Dawson, Michael" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, March 07, 2005 12:28 PM To: CF-Community <[email protected]> Subject: RE: Cool bands in small venues Ahh. I remember way back when... Evansville has a small amphitheatre for outdoor concerts when it's not too hot and muggy. Many years ago, I went to see Ozzy open for Metallica. Right before the concert James Hetfield was skateboarding backstage and broke his wrist. We were told James would still sing, but a roadie would play his guitar parts. After a while, however, he couldn't come out, so Ozzy was nice enough to play a double-length set. It was a shame because not long after this concert, Cliff Burton was killed in the bus accident. I never got to see him play live. :'( M!ke ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Captivate from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=52 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:149502 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
