Hey Joseph, Cool another BCer....great. So you were at the Vancouver CFUG were ya...did ya meet a guy named Zac Belado (Bay Laef Software) or Cameron from Evolution B? I was at the first Van CFUG when Jeremy Allaire kicked things off...now that was a show (except he was demoing some code and didn't really seem to know how it worked..hehe).
Hey...there's another plug for Victoria.... An individual (who will remane nameless) that helped start the Van. CFUG is looking to move to Victoria (from the US..no cities to protect identity) and help our company to launch our CFUG (www.cfug-vancouverisland.com). We launched the site about 5 months ago...but haven't had time to get the first meeting under our belts. <soapbox> BTW Victoria is plagued by free technology itis. Too many people use Unix/Linux (which isn't all bad) and PHP, ASP, and even Perl!! It's one of our golas to ram CF down the corporate throat of Victoria until they realize that even though it may cost a tad more to host...we can build it faster (less cost to client) and better in CF! </soapbox> OK...I'm done for now ;-) Go Canada! Hire a Canadian developer..our money isn't worth anything...and we have lots of time to practice coding in our igloos ;-) Bryan Stevenson VP & Director of E-Commerce Development Electric Edge Systems Group Inc. p. 250.920.8830 e.
