Hey Patrick, Great another Canuck (albeit an East coaster *evil grin*).
What us islanders are mellow.....but of course we are..heck that's why I moved back here from Vancouver (that place sucks IMHO). Actually the island is starting to develop a decent IT industry. I'm on an e-business steering committee out here with a non-profit group called VIATeC (Vancouver Island Advanced Technology). They work with public and private sector to promote the high-tech industry on the island. We've just launced the first phase of a new high-tech park (mostly bio-tech, internet, and other IT companies). You'd probably be surprised at some of the compaies you'd find here...ACD Systems for one (makers of some rather popular image viewing software in case ya don't already know). Well my plug for Victoria is done....move East and or North to come work and live in a beautiful city with very little traffic (15 minutes max to almost anywhere) and lots of outdoor activities.....yeah Victoria....woo hoo! ;-) Oh and about the beer....you betcha..Canadian beer is WAY better than some other Noth American beer ;-) (even beer muffins..mmmmm) Bryan Stevenson VP & Director of E-Commerce Development Electric Edge Systems Group Inc. p. 250.920.8830 e.
