There is no argument about beer. Canadian beer is much superior. Ft. Garry Ale or Kokanee are way beyond the watered down body waste that is called Bud. And I'm not even talking about the higher alcohol content. Since moving down here the only way I've resorted to brew pubs and microbrews to get anything close, either that or survive on care packages from friends back in the great white north. Next stage is to start making my own.
We used to pull one nasty trick on the Americans who would come up for fencing tournaments at the University of Winnipeg. We'd take them out for "a couple of beers" on the first night. They'd be used to the weak American stuff and think that four or five were nothing. Then the third one would hit followed by the fourth. Then they'd be sinking under the table. The next morning they'd be so hung over that they would easy targets. larry -- Larry C.
