On the question of bias, there will always be bias since there is no
such thing as an unbiased human - we all want what we perceive is in
our individual best interests.

The answer, however, is not to create another biased news outlet.
Rather, we should demand objective journalism and force those who
fail to deliver it, to account for it.

For example, why not force news programs/networks to declare
themselves as "News" which would mean they must conform to a standard
set of principles and rules such as the GAAP rules for accounting.

That way if you or anyone else felt they had violated those rules you
could directly challenge them against pre-defined and agreed upon
measures.

Opinion shows, however, like Rush Limbaugh or Al Franken, would have
to disclaim all of their content as "opinion" which does not conform
to News standards but does conform to a smaller rule set. For
example, any fact that they got wrong would need to be clearly and
boldly clarified or they would need to disclaim their shows as
"Fiction".
