It's not up to you to decided what constitutes "quality of life", it's up to Mrs. Shiavo. When she was alive she chose Mr. Shiavo to make those decisions for her and now he's attempting to fulfill her choices. Whether we believe him or not is irrelevant - it is and was her choice and if you don't want to honor that then why should the government stay out of any decision? BTW - I would point out that all of the Republican "culture of life" and "presumption of life" holds until you're accused of a crime and then they favor electrocuting you to death.
