Could it be a security setting? Do you all have the same network
settings (fixed vs dhcp, domain name servers, etc).

We had a problem with a flash/server (pre-remoting) app that used
javascript to manage the data. It worked fine when I posted it to a
server for people to test, but once we installed the flash part to run
locally on their desktop it wouldn't transfer the data in and out of
the flash part via javascript. It turned out to be a security issue
with how IE handles javascript data on a local page vs. with a server,
and it was a twist on allowing data across domains.
