Unfortunately this country and most other industrialized countries
wareshouses their seniors to a great degree. I'm fortunate in that my
mother was able to get into a very good program, where the person
start out as independent as they can, their own apartment etc. The
program also has more assisted living facilities that the tenant can
move into. So its a bit better than most.

Myself I'll most likely be long dead before I need a senior's home.
