So, if the question becomes something like "What can cause some types of new browser window requests to be ignored in a browser configuration which obeyed them last week?", then possible causes seem like they'd include (but not be limited to): -- some change to the browser (subtle damage, etc) -- some change to the requests (page changes, etc) -- some change to the system (new extensions, hidden malware) -- more Maybe one intermediary step would be to find a particular website and its window requests to focus on, so that more of us here can see whether our Firefox obeys them, examine the requesting JavaScript, etc. jd -- John Dowdell .
