When I moved from Network Solutions, after three tries before I realized I had to go and pre-authorize the move, they tried that. But when I quoted the price from GKG, the tech support lady looked up the best Network Solutions offer and basically said "We can't match that, your change request has been authorized, and have a nice day;" or words to that effect.
