We had one for many, many years at my grandparents house. It's a permanent fixture: a post grill. The main problem with that was it was out in all weather and eventually rusted out. The post went directly through the concrete patio - the thing was a HUGE bitch to remove and replace. If you have the option (I'm not sure how it works) but try to get something you can store indoors when needed.
