I'm also encouraged by Singer directing. He was able to balance the action and special affects of X-Men, with some quality acting and a solid story line.
This movie requires the same balance if he's going to pull it off. I'll be watching closely! Superman is almost sacred to me, its the clearest memory I have of my childhood.
