Hm. I like Spacey as an actor but he doesn't fit my idea of Lex. I
didn't actually like Hackman either. I always liked that he was
portrayed as having a heroic physique. Someone like Yul Brenner would
have been an excellent Lex. Picking just people in general that would
fit, I'd have to go with G. Gordon Liddy.

But I really wish they had gone with the older Superman that's been
showing up in comics over the last several years.. Someone that's not
all young and naive anymore. Something like his character in Kingdom
Come. The "you guys keep screwing stuff up and I'm sick of cleaning up
your mess" attitude. Or even his brief appearance in the Dark Knight
series where his high horse morality coupled with the nearly
unstoppable power to do what he wants makes him a force that needs to
be checked.
