We have a lot of clients who use Earthlink and our email box.  Earthlink
blocks port 25, so we set up a secondary SMTP port.  Anytime we have
someone who gets timeouts on send but not recieve, we switch them over.
 Works like a charm.

Of course, you have to be able to set that up on your mail server....
