That's a total overstatement. I can't afford a house within 8 miles of my
work. I live 14 miles from downtown. Were I to walk or bike, that would be
28 miles per day... Houses within 3 miles of work are at the minimum
$350,000, with $500,000+ more the norm. This is Charlotte we're talking
about. Many people just don't live in areas where the convenience of
walking is an option, and living closer isn't either.

Mocha grande is no more a luxury than gas is for the typical person.
People choose to live far away from work. People choose to live far
away from the stores. People choose to hop in the car and go to the
drive in restaurant. People could choose to walk, bike, run, etc.
