That's quite doable by bike. Though a lot depends on the weather, terrain and the roads. Riding along a road where traffic is passing you at 80 kph at 1 meter away is rather stressful. I Googled a bit and in the Netherlands 1 out of every 3 people goes to work by foot or bicycle and 9% goes by public transport. Bicycles and public transport passes are tax free when payed by the employer, fuel passes are not.
