This is true. In my experience, most of the parents I've met have not
been people I really felt should have children. Maybe I'm jaded. :)
Just been what I've seen, that they tend to largely ignore their
children and then when they're not ignoring them they avoid answering
their questions or they fill their heads with garbage or they're
constantly berating or otherwise punishing them for things that aren't
worthy of any anxiety (like playing in a public place -- "Oh my god!
It's a child! And they're PLAYING!"). And these are people who I
consider responsible adults -- they just either are misguided (imo) or
more commonly don't care to be good/involved parents. Combine that
with a person who is genuinely ignorant, irrational and/or
irresponsible (as previously described in this scenario with people
who don't want to excercize any form of birth control other than
abortion) and the end result is heaping problems on an innocent baby
(whether or not they're given up for adoption - which I won't comment
on, there are enough problems in the whole adoption system to have a
series of entirely separate threads on that subject).
