The pills do exist in the US. They are sold on the black market, and un-officially in Caribbean islands where Abortion is illegal. They have dual use purposes, one of them is to force an abortion up to 5 or 6 weeks. Some women prefer this to an invasive physical procedure during this period when the pregnancy is determined relatively early.
