If I get one set of rights when I marry a woman, but another set if I
marry a man, that's discrimination.

As for the but-people-have-been-bigots-for-millennia argument: until
about 50 years ago a significant population thought it was "God's
will" to own another human being.  Did that make it right?

Progress of thought can be a good thing!
