I've never seen an argument from someone who "opposes" free speech. The 
discussions generally center on where it begins, and where it is superceded 
by the very laws you mentioned. Plenty of examples can be given for these 
situations, without "opposing" free speech.

Using the cross burning example, one person who supports free speech may see 
the right to burn a cross in their front yard as covered by this doctrine, 
whereas someone else who supports free speech may see this right superceded 
by the right of other people to not be subjected to such harrassment. Both 
can make valid arguments....hence the discussions/debates.
