You can buy a can of stuff that freezes gum - this could work on the caulk too. Then store a pliers and hammer in the freezer until you're ready and bang or squeeze away. It should break the chunks up into pieces that you can vacuum up. The WD-40 might work and you could also as a last resort try the iron over newspaper method. Once you get the big chunks broken and vacuumed up (so you're just left with little pieces) you can then put a newspaper or brown bag over the remainder and then carefully iron over the top. Hopefully the paper will absorb the melted caulk or, at a minimum, the caulk will stick to the paper more than the carpet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:157235 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
