Unfortunately, Brian is probably right.

The ice trick that Matt mentioned might work. But I'd say it's a long
shot. dunno about the WD40, give it a whirl and if that doesn't work
you might consider seeing if you can match the carpet to a sample at a
local carpet/flooring store, you might be able to buy a sample square
and then "cut and paste."

Also, a carpeting store might be a good place to ask for advice on this too...
