People who use the word "ideal" instead of "idea". > 3) Cell phones. Bar none, the single most intrusive > devices ever invented. Used to be they were a rare > nuisance. Today they dominate people's lives. The next > time I have a conversation cut short by the first 4 bars > of "Ode to Joy", followed by the obligatory index finger > "just a second" sign, I'm strangling the bastard. > Literally. I've never been of the opinion that people by and large should have cell phones... I've always felt they were a tool best left to people who actually have some purpose for them, like say, "field agents", construction workers or maybe travelling sales people. For everyone else, they're just a big steaming load of BS. I got one last year when I was still in Dallas because I had a client (telework) who _freaked_out_ because there were two occasions on which I couldn't be reached _INSTANTANEOUSLY_ and they had to wait about 2 hrs each time before they could talk to me. For work that still had days-to-weeks in its schedule. And that's basically the sort of asinine response people have to cell-phones not saturating the planet. Most folks throughout the course of a week go from their home to the office and then home again - which means that asside from the odd trip to the grocery store or lunch, they have a cell phone so that people can call them _WHERE THEY HAVE A PHONE_. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://www.sys-con.com/author/?id=4806 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:157458 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
