I wouldn't be suprised if it were an internal Nintendo concept piece. I would
love to see the big hardware players release "concept systems" like auto makers
do. ;^)

It's very professional-looking which doesn't mean it was done by Nintendo, but
there was some love put into it.

It could be an add-in - but the video made it seem like an entire system. I
can't see an add-in like that offering multiple drives and such.

I saw this too - but I just don't buy it.

I could see a "splittable" controller that could be used traditionally or like
this, but I doubt we'll see this for real.

It just seems so very uncomfortable to me and possibly a nightmare for little
kids (still a Nintendo mainstay) to use. It just seems like such a thing would
be very difficult to use for long periods of time (that's really the problem
with all of the recent concept stuff - none of it is as comfortable as the
traditional controller used while planted in front of a TV).

I'm really excited to see the controllers - I love the Cube controllers nearly
as much as my dual shock. Considering the backwards compatibility however I
really doubt we'll see anything major in that arena (we already know that XBox
360 controllers are clearly not radically different).

I'm actually pretty glad they stayed relatively traditional. I really hope
that they release a new GameBoy player as well (even if the DS games won't
work). We use our Cube for the GameBoy games just about as much as for Cube
games.
