I just saw a television ad for a new cellular phone (Nextel I believe). It had a built in scanner. It was shown being used on a construction site to bar scan delivered materials. Probably pretty handy, but in the small print on the screen it said it also did credit cards. That has just got to be an invitation for mass theft.
