Anyway speaking of all this I found this a great read: http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/manifesto.html It talks about what's really important - the games - and how they need to be improved. For my part I think that the system specs are so completely secondary (developer's never begin to really push a system to its limits until three or four years in anyway). I really think that this generation's bottleneck will be developer time and asset production.
