Well, caught your attention eh? I had some very important personal revelations to share and some advice for those of you that are interested ... And I figured a compelling headline would at least get people to look :P
My personal and business life has been coming to very cloudy place lately. I've been moody and irritable. Finding it very hard to stay focused though I know I am good at what I do and we live very well. We have many things to be thankful for, especially the ability to read, write, see, hear, talk, walk and eat solid foods. Very basic things many of us take for granted. I needed to get away and clear my head - and Hilton Head did as it was supposed to do. Probably spent a little too much money - but such is life. I bought a couple of books to read before I left, intending to take them with and finish them. I am only half way through them though as I keep re-reading with bouts of "Duh, I know that, I just need to put it into action!" I highly recommend everyone to go out and buy these books. If you have any drive to be successful at all, and you are not content to merely live day to day but want to improve your mind and life as well as those around you - then go find used, new, or borrowed versions of these books: "How To Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie. & "The Power of Focus" by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Hewitt. And next on my list is of course: "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey. I know many people scoff and aren't into self-help. They shrug it off and say "ain't for me". And that's fine. But if you are open-minded and looking to improve yourself and learn new things than I cannot say enough good things about these 2 books. I've been thinking more clearly than I have in years and I have difinitive gameplans going into action. I have groups of people that reply on me and it's about time I gave them back some quality. Here's an excerpt from the "Power of Focus" http://www.ruwebby.com/index.cfm?content=56 It's a good read. "How To Stop Worrying and Start Living" is REALLY a great book for you worry-warts. If you think "nah, won't help me." then I think you are wrong - because believe or not I am a chronic worrier and after only getting half-way through this book, the people around me can already see the difference. Life is short and you only get one shot at this particular one. Make it the best one you can. :) Cheers, Erika ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how to get a fax number that sends and receives faxes using your current email address http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=64 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:159050 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
