There's a reason they call it "practicing" medicine. :-)

I have found that many doctors indeed are perplexed by people that are
overweight and yet are otherwise healthy. I *should* have high blood
pressure and *should* have high cholesterol, my pulse should be racing
constantly, etc. But I don't.

Last week I was told I couldn't donate blood because my heart-rate was
too low (44) and that was after I had hauled myself across campus to
the bloodmobile. The lead vampire was very confused by this...

I currently weigh in at a healthy 265. down from 320 (hence a healthy
265) in January 2004. I have been using the On-going weight-loss
portion (-1lb-ish per week - sometimes a little more, sometimes a
little less) of the Atkins Diet quite successfully and have regular
appointments with my doctor, exercise semi-regularly, etc. It's all
about moderation.

I eat plenty o'veggies and fiber and partake in the consumption of vino.

Current BP is 120/60 anybody gonna argue with that? Been a few months
since my last Cholesterol check, don't remember the exact number.
