I'm not so sure about that. The original Apple products were designed not as home computers but as data processing tools. The Lisa, a project Steve headed until kicked off, was specifically targetted to the office. The Macintosh project was not started by Steve Jobs. It was started by Jef Raskin and was envisioned as a home appliance, not as a typical computer. Steve did take a leadership role in its evolution. Eventually though, Steve left Apple to start NeXT to cater to the academic/research sectors. The current Macintosh is as much, or more, NeXT as it is Macintosh. > Slow and steady may win the race. Maybe, but I think Apple isn't in it to "win" anymore. It's a landscape not a race and so long as they keep making money, they've got a place in it. -Kevin ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:159752 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
