That's only partly true. Alcohol abuse isn't necessarily "more damaging physically" than marijuana. Long, sustained abuse of alcohol destroys the liver. Long, sustained abuse of marijuana destroys the lungs. Niether one is good for you. It is most certainly true, however, that MJ is much less addictive than alcohol and caffeine. (Its not chemically addictive at ALL actually...."habit forming" vs. "addictive") Marijuana's medical benefits are negligible. They may alleviate some symptoms in some people, but generally those are people who were smoking pot for fun anyway. In the VAST majority of cases, other drugs are far superior to marijuana. I'm all for loosening the pot laws...i just don't think it's "medicinal value" is a very good argument, across the board. Loosen the laws, though, and for those few where MJ does have medical benefits, they can puff away in peace with the rest of us... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:159766 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
