A robin built a nest by our front door, the eggs hatched, and the mama was feeding the babies for a few days but then the nest fell onto some landscaping rocks. One of the birds died right away, but I took the other 3 and made a makeshift nest out of the bottom of a milk jug lined with some dish towels.
I zip-tied the nest back into place and the mama came back and tended the nest all night, but another died during the night and the mama must've pulled it out because it was on our sidewalk this morning. I looked in on the other 2 and they're breathing, but not awake - it doesn't look like they'll make it because I'd think they'd be awake begging for food.
