> I thought Beetlejuice was terrific though....even if only > for the calypso scenes! I liked scissorhands... not one of my all-time favorites or anything, but worth a look... POTA doesn't ring any bells for me... Didn't care much for Beetlegeise ( note the spelling ;P ) at least not as much as Tiff... I enjoyed the first Batman film more -- Burton certainly did a good job of sticking with "the dark knight" and avoiding the 1950's TV series garbage that's crept into the Batman films since his first two (I thought someone else did the last 2, was I wrong?)... Tiff enjoyed the Nightmare Before Christmas a lot -- I thought it was just scarcely bearable... James and the Giant Peach, now that was a vomitous film. > Burton guaranteed the success of his Sleepy Hollow remake > (in my opinion) when he cast the incomparable Chris Walken > as the horseman. heh... seems like a strange assessment... Walken was a cameo in that film... didn't even have a single line... all he got to do was stare menacingly and yell at people... hardly what I'd call "acting"... I think my favorite Walken role was Prophecy III (which was much more philosophical than the first 2 films). "You ever been with a woman Sophiel? You get to this place that has you BEGGING for release... Once I was an angel of death. Now, I die every day... when I have the cash." His delivery was fantastic. Personally I think Sleepy Hollow was just good material for Burton in general. The guy who plays the dr. in those films is also an underrated actor, even if just as a straight man like Alan Arkin. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:160678 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
