Deadpool ... Unfortunately since no actor I've seen would be able to do the character justice, the only answer for who to play Wade would be Tom Cruise because there was a later story arc in the series in which Loki took away all his scars and made him look just like Cruise. He spent the whole issue(s) taking guns, knives, power-tools and blow-torches to his face to try and get his scars back. He even jumped off a tall building and made sure to land face-first. But Loki had apparently made it impossible for him to mar himself. Personally I really think that along with the first story arc (26 issues leading up to Deadpool [a professional killer whos body is so severely scarred that he won't let anyone see his face and of course, similarly emotionally damaged] saving the world from an evil alien who wanted to make everyone happy by taking away their free will) this deserves to be on the big screen. Unfortunately it's not likely that either will ever be for a combination of reasons, one of which is that they're probably too philosophical for the average audience. Matrix be damned, I just don't think the average audience would have a positive response to seeing the scenes where the hero gets depressed and acts viscious and vindictive (at one point doing something similar to a scene from Saw) and then struggling with the fact that he finally gets to be the "hero" but that being the hero just means more killing and it makes him bitter and self-pitying, feeling like a "garbage man" who's only good for one (destructive) thing, leading up to him actually making the right decision, and the right decision being to kill someone who would bring peace to the earth (in a situation where the ends don't justify the means). Of course the villain in the first story arc was a large and completely inhuman alien... I imagined the character having a stereotypically ominous voice... Too bad Orson Wells died right after Transformers... In failing that maybe James Earl Jones... not sure... might be better to cast a voice that's less famous. Though in general, I'd rather see this one as an animated film. s. isaac dealey 954.522.6080 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Contribute 3 from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=53 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:161006 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
