Well, I'm not sure how to actually drive the traffic to the site, but
I can tell you what makes me use a particular site:
1. Ability to search by street (You're driving home - you see a for
sale sign, but you can't catch the address....)
2. Sq. Footage information (can you believe some of them don't tell you?)
3. Pictures of the property that are big enough to see, and a
click-through feature. (Hate opening and closing each pic separately.)
4. Quick search by MLS number.
5. Map view - love the idea of this - www.fsbomadison.com has it (but
it's a bit wonky). I wish it worked better.
6. No need to register.
7. Option to get listings emailed to you. (I haven't used this from an
actual site - cause I get them from a realtor. But, if I could get
them directly from a site without the hassle of a realtor bugging me,
I'd do it in a heartbeat.)
