It's insensitive precisely because her parents disagreed. It's not insensitive towards your wife, but it is towards her surviving family. I know the word can have a loose definition and liberal interpretations, but generally speaking, do you think that Michael Schiavo was sensitive to the feelings of Terri's surviving family when he chose that inscription? At the VERY least, he was acting with disregard to her family....but i don't see how you can say he was being sensitive to their feelings. > > 2.) Insensitive is different from insulting. I'm of the opinion that the inscription is most certainly insensitive toward her parents feelings, but I don't think it is insulting in the least. But then, i've agreed with Michael's arguments throughout this mess. > > 3.) Given that Mr. Schiavo's have openly attacked and insulted him, he > owes then no debt of sensitivity so the real question is, is it > insulting? The clear answer is no. Michael owed Terri's parents nothing, zip, zilch, after the way they slandered him. So his actions aren't necessarily suprising, and could even be considered tempered in comparison. Does he have every right to act insensitively toward her parents? I'd say yes. Can you still wish that he would restrain from doing so? I don't see why not. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:161435 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
