Moral of the story: don't screw with people's livelihood for a
practical joke. This lawsuit strikes me as being more sensible than
the radio station suit because it was her job (and a crappy job at
that) and she probably worked her ass off in hopes of getting that
car, and I'd think there's a good chance that having a vehicle was
going to alleviate a lot of stress in her life. I still have the gut
response of thinking it's "frivolous" but then I wasn't the one who
got the stupid doll...

My gut says I want this to be a "frivolous lawsuit" and get thrown
out... but then again, I remember trying to call radio stations when I
was a teenager -- not to win contests or anything, just to call in and
make a request or whatnot... At least, at the time in Dallas just
getting something other than a busy signal was a challenge, so
actually winning something typically required a lot of effort and a
lot of patience... To have it turn out to be something you can buy at
the store for less than a dollar would have been monumentally
frustrating.
