I think it's entirely possible that *they* think they are freedom fighters, anyway. As for the election... well, they had one, yes, and whether it was a fair election I dunno. All I am saying is that these people did not wake up one morning and decide it would be a good idea to be suicide bombers. There is a context there, whether you consider it valid or not.
