The Jax group allows pets too.

The only reason I can think of why they shouldn't be allowed to be
freecycled would be that the 'true' mission of freecycle is to keep
the landfills from...being filled.

I'm not saying a cat/dog/gerbil/what-have-you wouldn't necessarily end
up in the landfill...but even if it did, the decomposition would be
quicker than that of, say, a lawnmower (both self-propelled as well as
manual).
