My understanding is that it's not that simple... the example that
springs to mind immediately is the one Mike Dinowitz gave of an
Israeli soldier firing on someone who they know for a fact attacked
them, but who then immediately runs into an area full of innocent
civilians.

I was also under the impression that we were firing "smart bombs" into
buildings to kill certain targets, knowing that there would be
casualties because the people in charge believed those targets to be
important enough to injure those innocent people.

So yes, I'd say being forced to murder the innocent applies. Although
I'm certain that's a gross oversimplification.
