Now to throw a twist into the mix, one would be
a Windows XP system and the other a Mac (Apple)
system.

Guess I will find out at Microcenter when I go there.
A lot of the items found online said that it was
Not possible which I thought was strange.

I've use several - mostly Cybex and Belkin ps/2 / USB models and all have
worked flawlessly with Logitech wireless kits.

One really old Compaq Rack-mount I tried worked but didn't support mouse
wheels so I got rid of it.

Generally the Wireless kits are designed to work with any PS/2 or USB
ports... and the KVMs are designed to provide seamless support for those
ports so I would suspect that problems are the exception, not the norm.
