The most important thing you should consider is what is your primary
motivation for the site: A resource of information, or to generate
revenue.

Techniques like you've done putting the ads in the way of the content
definitely makes the ads more likely to be read. And from a business
standpoint, that will hopefully generate your revenue. But it also,
intentionally, interrupts the flow of information. It's not as
disruptive as many sites these days though. Like Experts Exchange.

Similarly, the "Ads by Google" link bar at the top is somewhat
deceiving too. I know not to click on the "Ads by Google" text, but
the other links appear as if they may be relevant content sections for
your site and the link bar position is common for important site
links. Great technique for tricking people into generating revenue for
you.
