And you only have to be unlucky once.

Maybe you should try checking your facts before responding. Here's an
auditor amplifier that is about the same size as an iPod and it's
available to the public. I'm sure the police have better suppliers.

There are so many things wrong with the way the police behaved, down
to shooting someone in the head after having shot him several times
after having pinned him to the ground. Witnesses have stated that he
was shot but so far no witnesses have publicly stated that the police
identified themselves. In fact, the article that gives the most
specific information says that they stated later that they had
"challenged him and he 'refused to obey.'" That doesn't even imply
that they identified themselves. They added that detail at least a day
later.

If he had been an actual terrorist bomber and the police told him to
stop, he would have blown himself up. That's standard behavior; he did
not exhibit that behavior. The behavior he exhibited was that of a
non-terrorist fleeing someone who threatened his life.

OMG he was wearing a heavy coat during the day in 70 degree weather.
What temperature do you think it would be when he got off work and had
to take transit home? I hardly ever carry a coat even if it means I'm
hot wearing it. Coats are unweildy. I wear coats in 70 degree weather
fairly frequently. That doesn't make me a terrorist-- it makes me a
person who expects to be cold at night and doesn't like to carry
coats.

Living in the same apartment complex as a suspected terrorist does not
make you a criminal. Neither does wearing a coat in 70 degree weather.
Neither does failing to stop when a policeman tells you to, especially
if he points a gun at you and doesn't identify himself as a policeman.
Neither does riding the subway.

This could have easily been avoided simply by having the people who
tried to stop him be uniformed police officers.

You are arguing that it is legitimate for the police to shoot you in
the head if they think you behave suspiciously. Frankly, if they did I
don't think you'd be too happy about it.
