This comment mentions shooting. I was one of those who didn't think it was a good thing, or acceptable for the UK police to have shot that suspected bomber given the later evidence on the incident which was released and mentioned on the list. I also stand by what I said that a suspect has rights, without referring to or getting into what specific rights the suspect has. Treating a suspect in an inhumane or uncivil manner because one believes that he *may* be a terrorist isn't doing society any favors, in my view. It leads one down a path that brings society closer to the point of view of the extremists in our midst than of the rational individuals.You might as well kill them all and let god sort them out, if you trample the rights of suspects at will.
