That's a nice fantasy, but the US cannot survive isolated. The economists and social planners have already done the math. It won't work, country would implode and collapse.
Just make a quick check as to how much, and what, you currently Import, and how much of your economy is based on trade and investments in other markets. UNless you are somehow planning to get rid of 100 million+ people or so to make the place self sustaining.
