What's annoying is that it will block HTML attachments.

having the option to accept them or not, with the option turned off by
default, they just turn it off and leave it off .. nice.

Hmmm .. If you don't wanna go the 'hack' route, maybe you could have
someone zip it up and try sending it that way?
